Coperni Granted Court Approval to Continue Operating

The decision from a Paris court will place the brand under receivership protection, Coperni president Arnaud Vaillant said.

A Paris court has approved a request from Coperni for receivership protection, allowing the brand to continue to operate following months of liquidity issues under its majority owner Tomorrow Ltd.

Tomorrow allegedly ceased payments owed to the brand, Coperni president Arnaud Vaillant said in a statement. The incubator, which took a majority stake in Coperni in 2019, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Hit by a severe contraction in the wholesale market, high debts and a brand-incubation strategy that failed to achieve profitable scale, Tomorrow agreed to be sold to Italian holding company Progetto 11 in March 2026.

Relations had soured with Coperni prior to the announced sale. Founders Vaillant and Sebastien Meyer said they would seek to gain control of their brand, which has been at the forefront of fashion’s move into new runway formats. Examples of their unconventional shows include a massive video game LAN in a live e-sports arena, and interaction with robots on the runway.
