Glossier has appointed a new chief marketing officer, chief executive Colin Walsh told employees in an all-hands meeting on Thursday.
Nicole Solorzano, currently the head of marketing at haircare label Ouai, will join the Millennial beauty brand on April 6, The Business of Beauty can confirm.
Solorzano will oversee product marketing alongside content and community efforts, and is tasked with stewarding Glossier’s global brand vision as the 11-year-old brand undergoes a “re-founding” moment, a source close to the brand said. She succeeds Kleo Mack, who left Glossier in 2024 for a similar marketing role at Shark Beauty, and is Walsh’s first C-suite hire since he joined the brand in Oct. 2025.
Walsh worked alongside Solorzano for five years at Ouai. Earlier this week, he spoke to BoF about his plans to refocus Glossier’s mission by slowing its product pipeline, reducing staff at its NYC headquarters and closing most of the brand’s owned stores in places like Dallas, Boston and Las Vegas.

“We became a product company across a lot of categories, versus this curated brand focused deeply on their customers’ needs in life,” Walsh said.
