Phia, a product recommendation app that lets users compare prices across sites for both used and new items, on Tuesday announced it raised $35 million in a Series A round led by venture firm Notable Capital. The funding values the startup at $185 million.

The platform, which was co-founded by Phoebe Gates, daughter of Bill and Melinda Gates, and Sophia Kianni, previously announced $8 million in seed funding in September, with backing from Kleiner Perkins and names like Hailey Bieber, Kris Jenner and former Meta executive Sheryl Sandberg.

Phia uses AI to help consumers find and compare prices on visually similar items, estimate resale value and track price drops across different retailers through its app and browser extension. The company says it’s amassed more than 1 million users since its launch last April, and partners with brands and retailers such as Cult Gaia and Revolve.

The company will use the Series A funding to enhance its AI capabilities, including improving its product recommendation technology and beefing up the analytics it shares with its brand partners.
