Lady Gaga will assume the role of chief executive officer of her beauty brand Haus Labs, effective immediately, The Business of Beauty can exclusively confirm.
The appointment will see the pop star and actress take on commercial stewardship of the label alongside creative direction and product development, which she has led since its launch in 2019. Ben Jones, co-founder and former CEO, left the brand earlier this month. He initially joined Haus Labs after Michael Yanover, then head of business development of Creative Artists Agency, introduced him to Gaga, whose given name is Stefani Germanotta.
“Ben and I started Haus Labs together eight years ago, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built. I’m excited to take on a more active role in the company and work alongside our incredible team to build on everything we’ve accomplished together,” Gaga told The Business of Beauty in an exclusive statement. “I have a lot of vision for this brand, and we have so much more we want to do.”
Haus Labs was inspired by Gaga’s pre-fame days as an aspiring singer in lower Manhattan, when she relied on drugstore cosmetics to paint on what would eventually become her signature look.

Before signing onto the brand, Jones served as chief digital officer of The Honest Company, founded by Jessica Alba, for nearly two years. He previously held leadership roles in the video game industry. The reshuffle comes shortly after chief marketing officer Angela Simpson, who had been with Haus Labs since last year, exited the company in August to join makeup brand Patrick Ta.
Gaga first used the “Haus Laboratories” trademark in 2012 for the joint release of her first fragrance with Coty, Fame Eau de Parfum. After securing a Series A funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Haus Labs launched in 2019 as Haus Laboratories, Gaga’s first independent business venture and the first beauty line to release exclusively on Amazon.
In 2022, the company, renamed Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, relaunched with Sephora. Its updated brand featured an overhauled artistic aesthetic and product lineup. The gambit has since paid off: Haus Labs’ Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation, its hero product, has become a Sephora bestseller, and Jones told The Business of Beauty in 2025 that the brand had grown “substantially” in the preceding three years.
“Stefani and I set out to build a forever brand that stands apart, and I’m incredibly proud of the vision we brought to life. I’m confident she will continue to build on that foundation and take the brand to even greater heights,” said Jones in a statement.
