Zimmermann announced on Thursday the appointment of Roberto Eggs as its chief executive officer, effective May 1.
Eggs, who has served on Zimmermann’s board of directors for over a year, succeeds longtime CEO Chris Olliver. Olliver will remain with the company as executive chairman, continuing to steer Zimmermann’s long-term strategic trajectory.
Eggs joins the Australian fashion brand from Moncler Group, where he held numerous roles over more than a decade, most recently as executive board member and chief business and global market officer. While at Moncler Group, Eggs played a key role in driving global expansion and integrating and developing the technical streetwear brand Stone Island, which Moncler Group completely acquired in 2021.
In his 21-year tenure as chief executive officer, Olliver oversaw the brand’s commercial and strategic growth, including dozens of international retail expansions and its 2023 majority stake acquisition by American private-equity firm Advent International, which valued the brand at around $1.15 billion, making Zimmermann Australia’s first fashion unicorn.

“Roberto’s experience in scaling international luxury businesses will be invaluable as we continue investing in our global retail network and long-term capabilities,” said co-founder and chief operating officer Simone Zimmermann in a statement.
