Julia Lange is a German casting director working for brands including Acne Studios, Simone Rocha, Hermès and Alexander McQueen.
Lange began her career in film production internships before working as a booking assistant and entering fashion publishing through an internship at Vogue Germany in 2007. She advanced to booking director and casting director, during which time she scouted Berlin burlesque performers for a notable shoot with photographer Peter Lindbergh. She launched her independent international casting practice in 2011. Lange's methodology integrates agency and street casting. Her client roster has included brands such as Chanel, Fendi and Bottega Veneta as well as publications including Self Service, The Gentlewoman and Purple, collaborating with stylists Lotta Volkova, Marie Chaix and Jane How, and photographers such as Harley Weir and Colin Dodgson. Between 2023 and 2025, she cast campaigns and collection imagery for Phoebe Philo featuring models Daria Werbowy and Sharon Genish, photographed by Tyrone Lebon and Talia Chetrit.
Lange is signed for global representation by creative agency Art Partner and has been named in the Achtung Mode A50 index of the 50 most influential German fashion figures working internationally.
