Agenda-setting intelligence, analysis and advice for the global fashion community.
New York-based label Zankov has appointed Jack Tobin, founder of luxury fashion agency Jack Tobin Agency, as its first chief executive officer, the brand announced Thursday. Tobin will also become a part owner of the business.
In his role, Tobin will oversee commercial development for the label, which was founded in 2020 by Diane von Furstenberg artistic director Henry Zankov, with a focus on international expansion, partnerships, retail growth and long-term brand development.
“I have always envisioned having a partner who could join me in shaping the next chapter of the brand — someone who shares my ambition to build an enduring business while staying true to the creative vision that has always defined Zankov. Jack is the ideal partner to take this next step with,” Zankov said in a statement.
Tobin’s agency has represented Zankov and cultivated its retail relationships for two years, during which Zankov increased its international business over tenfold and doubled its global stockist network, growing its presence in Europe and North America through partnerships with Selfridges, Harrods and Galeries Lafayette. The agency has previously collaborated with brands including Proenza Schouler and Fforme.
