Marek Piechocki

President, LPP Group

The Polish entrepreneur turned a small clothing business into an Eastern European high-street giant, with a retail empire stretching to Central Asia and the Middle East.

Marek Piechocki

Marek Piechocki is the co-founder and CEO of Polish retailer LPP Group, which owns high-street fashion brands Reserved, Cropp, House, Mohito and Sinsay. Starting with a small wholesale clothing business in the 1990s, he turned LPP into a multinational fashion empire with more than 4,000 stores across 47 markets by 2026.

Co-founded by Piechocki and Jerzy Lubianiec as Mistral in Gdansk, and later renamed LPP, the group established its first brand Reserved in 1998, expanding into Estonia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Hungary and Latvia in 2002, followed by Lithuania, Ukraine and Slovakia in 2003. LPP launched Cropp in 2004, acquiring House and Mohito four years later, as its retail footprint expanded into Romania, Bulgaria and the Balkan region. Piechocki subsequently led LPP’s expansion into Western Europe, including key markets like Germany, Italy and the UK, as well as the Middle East, before pushing more recently into Central Asia and the Caucasus. By 2025, that decades-long expansion had transformed LPP into one of the region’s largest fashion retailers, with annual sales of 23.1 billion zlotys ($6.2 billion).

LPP’s largest brand Sinsay, launched in 2013 as an affordable label for teenage girls, has been one of Piechocki’s strongest bets. He steered Sinsay’s rapid rise into a revenue spinner, expanding its product categories and store network to over 2,300 locations, many of them in smaller towns across frontier markets. The fast-fashion value brand, which opened over 900 stores and debuted in six countries in 2025 alone, contributed over half of the company’s total sales during the year. It was also instrumental in offsetting the loss of revenue after LPP sold its Russian business in 2022.

A civil engineer who graduated from Gdansk University of Technology, studied at the Technical University of Braunschweig and later completed IESE Business School’s Advanced Management Program, Piechocki is one of Eastern Europe’s most private business leaders.
