Latahlia Hickling

Model

The Australian model’s breakthrough has seen her land a Vogue cover and become a face of Chanel, bringing greater Indigenous representation to global fashion.

Latahlia Hickling

Latahlia Hickling is an Australian model whose rapid ascent has taken her from the New South Wales town of Casino to some of fashion’s most prestigious catwalks and covers. At just 18, the Githabul and Bundjalung woman made her international runway debut at Matthieu Blazy’s first Chanel show in Paris as one of two First Nations Australian models cast. She returned for the Autumn/Winter 2026 season and appeared in the house’s Spring/Summer 2026 global advertising campaign, giving an Indigenous Australian model unusually prominent visibility at one of fashion’s most influential global brands.

Hickling has also walked for Off-White in Paris, building on early success at home that included an August 2025 Vogue Australia cover alongside fellow Indigenous models Em Stenberg and Tatyana Perry, a milestone for First Nations representation in the country. In Australia, she has walked for some of the country’s best-known designer labels, including Carla Zampatti, Aje and Maticevski, and worked for major brands such as Country Road and Mecca. She subsequently landed the September 2026 cover of Elle Australia, the same month she won the magazine’s Model of the Year accolade at the Elle Next Gen Awards.

Hickling has used her growing visibility to support Indigenous Australian causes. She modelled for Nagnata’s Art+Activism collaboration celebrating Bundjalung culture and language and served as the muse for Spell’s fundraising collaboration benefiting the community-led Bunjum Aboriginal Corporation. First scouted at 14 through a friend’s TikTok video, Hickling is represented by Sydney mother agency The Scouted, Ford Models in New York and Oui Management in Paris, as of 2026.
