Julian Song
Photographer & Director
The Chinese-born photographer has become a key visual storyteller for luxury houses like Hermès and Louis Vuitton, bridging nostalgia, surrealism and contemporary digital culture.

Julian Song is a photographer and visual artist whose cinematic, surrealist imagery has made him one of the most sought-after image-makers operating between China and the international market.
Moving away from traditional soft-focus luxury aesthetics in favour of high-contrast, conceptual storytelling, Song's portfolio includes major global and regional campaigns for luxury fashion and lifestyle brands, including Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Byredo, Hermès, Uniqlo, and Thom Browne, as well as promotional content for global music groups like Katseye. His work regularly fronts leading international publications such as GQ, Dazed, and Vogue China.
Drawing inspiration from his youth in 2000s China, internet culture, and everyday observations, Song constructs meticulously staged visual worlds defined by humour, nostalgia, and subverted fashion tropes. He is a self-taught photographer who previously studied economics and advertising. With his narrative-driven, high-concept visual projects, Song represents a new generation of Chinese image-makers shaping fashion's visual language on a global scale.
