Founder, Joram Model Management
The scout has made his Ugandan mother agency a launchpad for East African models, helping propel them onto major runways and magazine covers.

Joram Muzira is the founder of Joram Model Management (JMM), a Kampala-based mother agency that connects East African models to international agencies in Europe and the US such as Elite, Select and Women. Since establishing JMM in 2012, Muzira has scouted new faces across Uganda and elsewhere in East Africa, including South Sudan, securing contracts abroad that have helped propel his models onto major fashion week runways in Paris, Milan and New York.
While studying urban planning at Makerere University, Muzira began scouting models for Ziper Modeling Agency and African Woman magazine. In 2012, designer Sylvia Owori recruited him to scout, train and cast her runway show, which he also produced, an experience that helped pave the way for JMM’s launch. Muzira’s first major breakthrough came with Aamito Lagum, whom he scouted and managed before she won the inaugural Africa’s Next Top Model in 2014 and established an international career that included opening Balenciaga and walking for Hermès and Bottega Veneta.
JMM has since developed some of the region’s most successful modelling exports, including Achol Ayor, whose runway career includes Dior, Prada, Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta, and Adit Priscilla, who has worked with Chanel, Fendi and Miu Miu and appeared on the covers of international editions of Vogue, Elle and Numéro. Muzira also scouted Sarah Aliet, sisters Achan and Angair Biong and Majda John Peter, who won Elite Model Look Worldwide in 2022 and went on to work internationally.
