Denica Riadini-Flesch
Founder & Chief Executive, SukkhaCitta
The Indonesian economist-turned-entrepreneur is redefining luxury supply chains with a farm-to-closet social enterprise model that restores degraded soil and empowers rural craftswomen.

Denica Riadini-Flesch is founder and chief executive of SukkhaCitta, an Indonesian social enterprise pioneering regenerative, farm-to-closet supply chains across Southeast Asia.
Bypassing traditional industry middlemen, SukkhaCitta connects smallholder farmers and master artisans directly with global fashion consumers. Every piece bears its makers name and is crafted using heirloom cotton and 100 percent natural, plant-based dyes.
Under Riadini-Flesch's leadership, the certified B Corp guarantees living wages, funds local textile craft and has restored over 50 hectares of degraded agricultural land into healthy ecosystems that can act as carbon sinks. Formally trained as a development economist, Riadini-Flesch returned to Indonesia and launched SukkhaCitta in 2016 after witnessing the stark economic disparity between urban fashion consumption and impoverished rural labourers. She built the business model around ancestral practice and craft. Tumpang Sari intercropping, where food crops, dye plants and cotton are all grown together is blended with local craft traditions. Production has expanded to villages across Java, Bali, Flores, and West Timor.
Riadini-Flesch’s recent accolades include a Rolex Award for Enterprise, selection as a Cartier Women’s Initiative Fellow, and UCLA’s Pritzker Emerging Environmental Genius Award in 2025.
