Brenda Weischer

Brenda Weischer is a German content creator, fashion editor, archival curator and consultant based between Berlin and New York.

Raised in Germany, Weischer developed an interest in secondhand fashion after relocating to the United Kingdom at age 16. She earned a master's degree in fashion journalism from Central Saint Martins in London, conducting an interview with Virgil Abloh for her thesis. In 2018, inspired by a conversation with Abloh about democratising and circulating fashion history, she founded the vintage platform Disruptive Berlin. She continues to operate the secondhand site, curating rare garments from Maison Margiela, Helmut Lang and Rick Owens.

Weischer has built a digital following under the moniker Brenda Hashtag, noted for her monochromatic wardrobe and candid critique of fashion industry gatekeeping. In 2023, she joined 032c as fashion editor before rising to fashion editor-at-large. She writes the “Brenda's Business" column, featuring conversations with designers Rick Owens and Jun Takahashi, Heidi Klum and graphic designer Mirko Borsche.

In 2024, she launched her independent podcast Brendawareness, recording one-take audio diary episodes analysing runway seasons, creator culture and media dynamics. Weischer also operates as a strategic and creative consultant for fashion brands, focusing on brand identity, archival curation and digital engagement.
