Alysa Liu is an American figure skater and Olympic gold medallist building her fashion profile parallel to her athletic career. In May 2026, she was appointed as a Louis Vuitton house ambassador, following her front-row appearance at the label's Fall/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear runway show in Paris in March 2026.
Born in August 2005 in Clovis, California, Liu grew up in Richmond, California. She began figure skating at age five in 2010 at the Oakland Ice Center, introduced to the sport by her father, Arthur Liu. Combining luxury fashion with punk and alternative youth aesthetics, she collaborates regularly with celebrity stylist Katie Qian. In March 2026, Liu covered the digital issue of Teen Vogue, photographed by Erika Long and styled by Cece Liu. She made her Met Gala début in May 2026 wearing a custom deconstructed Louis Vuitton gown, also styled by Qian.
Liu became the youngest woman to win the US National Figure Skating Championship in January 2019 at age 13, defending the title in 2020. In February 2026, she won gold medals in the women's singles and team event at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, becoming the first American woman in 24 years to win Olympic singles gold.
