B1OCK is one of China’s most ambitious retail statements — a conceptual department store spread across 10 floors in Hangzhou. Designed by architect Renzo Piano, with permanent works by artist Theaster Gates, it weaves galleries, restaurants, bars and botanical gardens through a serious fashion offer that runs from The Row to Phoebe Philo. The result blurs shopping, art and lifestyle into a single immersive experience. Since the store was established in 2020, it has become an architectural destination in its own right.
